Breaking Down the Basics: Dance Photography - Jackie Connor
As a dancer-turned photojournalist-turned wedding and portrait photographer, Jackie has used her varied experience to build a robust and niched brand. She has created her business upon capturing moments -- whether it is a grandfather crying at a wedding, a woman feeling at home in her own skin during a boudoir session, or a dancer living on a stage. After nearly a decade of experience, her photography journey has taken her around the country working with everyone from US senators to So You Think You Can Dance stars to some fantastic humans right next door. An extensive background in photojournalism and dance performance has led to becoming the "go to" photographer in her area (the wintery tundra of Western New York).
She braves said wintery tundra with the help of a dog/gremlin, bourbon, spectacular clients and the occasional dance class.
