Anything But Average
The average size of an American woman is now between 16 and 18. As a photographer, do you know how to pose that woman in a way that makes her feel beautiful and sexy? Do you know how to talk to her before, during and after her session so that you build her confidence and help her feel empowered?
As boudoir photographers, it is essential to understand both the psychology and technical guidelines of photographing women size 16+. Every woman that stands in front of your lens is a unique human being, with her own set of fears, hopes and dreams.
In this class I will demonstrate how I incorporate a body positive, sex positive, client focused, feminist outlook into my studio in order to affect a positive change in my client’s lives and put money in my bank account. We will discuss how building your business with a feminist foundation will result in happier clients and better sales. I’ll go over, in detail, our client experience from start to finish, and why our model and way of communicating with clients results in a $2000 sales average.
I'm so looking forward to my first talk for Tomayia Colvin Education! I can't wait to chat light, posing, boudoir, feminism, body positivity and making money with you all! (I'm also a crazy dog lady and bourbon lover - please reach out with questions, send me a FB request, and show me pictures of your fur babies!) I've been a full time photographer for 13 years, with a focus on boudoir for the past 6. My sales average is $2,000 and my expertise lies in sales, posing and the luxury customer experience. I believe in the power of boudoir to truly change the way women feel about themselves, and I love being a businesswoman and 'photogratherapist'. I'm an open book and can't wait to help you grow your own successful boudoir businesses.
